They're experts in people and in sales. And I think what they know is that there's a universal way to sell. And I think regardless of what your business is anyone can benefit from it. Now I will say, Steve has spent time talking to me about the details of my business [like] who answers the phone and what do they say. So, they do learn about your business and they do customize [the sales system] to your specific business and I think they do a great job of it. But I don't think they really need to know or be an expert in an individual business just to help that person do sales. They're experts in questioning and in people and in sales.

I've gone and read almost every business book there is. It's a lot different than when you have a coach calling you on Friday saying: "Alright, how many people did you talk to this week? Did you do debriefing with them? Did you ask all the questions? Did you set an agenda?" You actually have somebody holding you accountable. And when you own a company or you're the head of sales there usually isn't somebody, at least weekly, holding you accountable to your activity. So, for someone who wants to try it on their own "bravo" try it. But you just can't compare to sitting in a class, doing role play, and then actually having someone not only hold you accountable but actually explain why you're using specific words. So the fact that I have a coach in Jim and Steve, who – not only do I know they really care about me but I think they have great answers to every question I've ever asked them – is invaluable. It's invaluable especially compared to the amount they're charging for their services.

Initially it was very scary because… I found out I really had to change the way I was doing everything regarding sales. Like most people I was sending out a ton of information to people [who] were then shopping and I was losing people just on price. And I had to real change not only what I was sending out, [but] the wording that I was using [and] the wording when people were calling in on the phone. The goal wasn't to send out a contract [right away] the goal was to set an appointment. However, the initial results (and what I think was immediate) was my rejuvenation. So right off the bat that fear turned into excitement! [Because] now, instead of me going into a meeting and just vomiting information about myself and how great I am – which gets very old; I was sick of myself – now it's all about them and finding out about them. And therefore every call I go into is different, as opposed to every call for the [last] fifteen years being the same.
