Steve Fretzin Knows Business, and Wants to Help Yours

Ralph Waldo Emerson once observed "it is one of the most beautiful compensations of life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself." These wise words locate the source of Steve Fretzin's success. Fretzin owns Sales Results, Inc., a company that helps businesses increase sales and overall value. Fretzin is fuelled by a genuine desire to help his clients, and runs his business with a selfless attitude. Over the years, he has come to realize that the more he focuses on the needs of his clients instead of his own profit, the more successful he and his clients become.

Before running Sales Results, Inc., Fretzin himself was in sales. In those days, he approached every sale with an eye toward the end result; he wanted to sell his product. Yet with the aid of mentor Dr. Keith Winfree, he realized that a sale is not about the salesperson; it is about the customer's needs. If one has nothing to offer the customer, persistence leads only to failure and feelings of animosity. However, if one truly has something to offer another, the most should be made of this potentially beneficial relationship.

Armed with this new insight, Fretzin became the owner of Sales Results, Inc. He strives to produce real, tangible, and significant sales increases for his clients. He recognizes that all companies are unique and accordingly offers each client advice and aid that is tailored to their specific situation. Fretzin guarantees to double the business of each client, and stays with the client until this goal is realized. He works with clients on a one-on-one basis, discovers the precise source of each client's sales problems, determines how to solve the problem, and then applies the solution in a manner that guarantees definite and sustained sales and value increases for the client's company.

In addition to Sales Results, Fretzin runs four networking groups in the North Shore and Chicago. The goal of these groups is to introduce people that can be of assistance to one another in the business world. Each month, the eight permanent members of the group bring a guest to lunch. Fretzin and other members go to great lengths to find people that are good matches for each other so that these meetings have real, beneficial results for those who attend. Fretzin concedes that meeting so many people helps his own business, but adds that "this personal benefit is secondary to the opportunity of helping others." Clearly, Fretzin's networking groups are run much like his business.

Back when Steve Fretzin was a salesman, he specialized in franchise sales for four years. He was exposed to all sorts of businesses and began to wonder where exactly he fit in this vast and heterogeneous economic world. Sales Results, Inc. is Fretzin's answer. He is able to use his understanding of sales to help others be more successful. He states with complete confidence that "this is exactly what I should be doing. This is the business I was meant for."
